After visiting a corn maze in south Texas in the fall of 2010 Richard and Teresa Johnson decided this would be a perfect fit for Northwest Missouri. Richard and Teresa are natives of Nodaway county and come from long lines of Missourians. Rick and Teresa have 3 daughters and 2 grandaughters and a grandson Candice and her husband Ben Bristow live in San Antonio, TX where Ben is an instructor for flyers in the Air Force and Candice works in sales and marketing for a coffee roaster. Whitney, husband Cody Brown, and daughter Rileigh and son Nolan live in Northwest Missouri where Cody farms the family land. Chelsea and husband Kevin Howard recently welcomed their little girl Hayden to the family. Chelsea and Hayden live in New Braunfels TX .

Rick and daughter Whitney traveled to North Carolina in the winter of 2011 to attend an agri-entertainment convention to learn about the corn maze business and make connections in the industry. After the trip the family started dreaming up names for the farm and decided on all the activites they would have. The family's old farm 8 miles south of Maryville, MO was the perfect place to start building.
Rick started work on the farm in the spring of 2011. Over time this farm has really become a community affair and will for years to come be a delight to families in the area.
