The Simmons Family has been growing and selling agricultural products in the South Hills of Pittsburgh for over 100 years.
Some time in the mid 1800s, Henry Simmons and wife Barbara Simmons came to the US from Germany, along with son Jacob and his wife Margaret. The Simmons family settled. in the area now known as Baldwin-Whitehall, where they began growing fruits, vegetables, chickens, and dairy. All of their products were delivered straight to home by horse and buggy.
